“We are very pleased to acknowledge all the expertise, hard work and support that NNE contributed towards the success of the 28th European Crystallographic Meeting (ECM28) held at the University of Warwick at the end of August 2013. In 2009 NNE were responsible for identifying Warwick University as a highly suitable and affordable venue which allowed us to win the competition to host ECM28.
As our PCO, they provided a seamless service in all aspects of the local organisation for ECM28, including handling registration, accommodation and catering and also for arranging the design and printing of the conference programme.
While we made all the key decisions about ECM28, NNE provided a single, reliable point of contact for all local organisation aspects of the Meeting, including advice on legal, financial, accounting and other specialist services. ECM28 turned out to be a significantly larger meeting than originally anticipated (885 participants from 50 different countries), plus several satellite meetings and many informal scientific and other events taking place. Despite this, NNE coped well with the additional workload and were able to deploy additional staff at crucial times.
In summary, NNE contributed in large part to ECM28 being a scientific, social and financial success and we would highly commend their services to anyone contemplating a similar event.”
